Panel discussion provides information on post-surgical care at home

Three Munson Home Care post-surgical care nurses and a therapist will share their expertise at a panel discussion for potential joint replacement patients from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, at the Munson Community Health Center’s Rooms A and B.

Nearly 1 million Americans have total hip or knee replacement surgery every year. Those who have had a joint replacement, are considering one, or have one scheduled are invited to the free discussion. Munson Home Care can assist with physician’s orders for post-surgical care using their expertise in teaching and executing personal care plans.

Panelists include physical therapist Jill Greenfield, PT, manager of the Traverse City branch of Munson Home Care with more than 25 years of clinical and managerial experience. Other panel members include Home Care clinical supervisors Mary Hartman, R.N.; Jessica Salo, R.N.; and Jodi Woerle, R.N.

While the program is free and open to the public, registration is requested. For more information or to register, call 231-935-9265 or go to munsonhealthcare.org/mmcclasses.
