Traverse Heart and Vascular is pleased to welcome interventional cardiologist Taylor Dawson, M.D.
Dr. Dawson is a Michigan native, born and raised in the Kalamazoo area. He graduated from medical school at University of Toledo College of Medicine and Health Sciences before returning to his home state to complete his residency and fellowships at University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers.
Dr. Dawson chose to go into interventional cardiology because he appreciates the complexity of cardiac physiology and the field offers multiple aspects of care in the hospital, procedurally, and in the office setting. His favorite part of practicing medicine is getting to know his patients and families, as well as building long-term relationships.
“I strive to be a physician who is empathic, respectful, and who listens to patient’s problems and needs,” he said. “I vow to continue to remain intellectually curious and dependable and practice with passion, integrity, and humility.”
In his free time, Dr. Dawson enjoys traveling, cooking, and being outdoors hiking and fishing.
