Former, current breast cancer patients invited for day of information, ‘pampering’
The 30th Annual Recovery Plus Program for women who have had breast cancer, or are living with breast cancer, is set for Saturday, Oct. 13 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Traverse City Elks Club in Traverse City.
Participants will enjoy a continental breakfast, special “pampering” session, and presentations by oncologist Yelena E. Kier, DO., on “Oncologic Treatment of Breast Cancer” and by psychiatric social worker Mary Raymer, LMSW, ACSW, DPNAP, on “Running into the Mouth of the Lion: Strategies for Managing Anxiety and Stress.”
There also will be a special lunch and fashion show.
Cost for the day is $30 per person. Anyone willing to sponsor a woman who otherwise would not be able to attend is appreciated. Registration is due by Oct. 9.
