June C. Murphy, D.O., F.A.C.O.O.G., has joined the staff of Munson Medical Center as a board certified specialist in maternal and fetal medicine.
Dr. Murphy practices at Munson Healthcare Maternal Fetal Medicine, 1221 Sixth St., Suite 212, in Traverse City. She will also be visiting clinics throughout northern Michigan, starting with Grayling in January 2018. Dr. Murphy is accepting referrals from obstetric care providers.
As a perinatologist, Dr. Murphy’s goal is to help women with high-risk pregnancies have healthy outcomes, and to address any problems as soon as they occur. Her special interests include:
- Chronic hypertension in pregnancy
- Diabetes management
- Disorders of fetal growth and development
- Preterm birth prevention
Dr. Murphy graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, East Lansing, Mich. and performed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Genesys Regional Medical Center, Grand Blanc, Mich. She also completed a fellowship in maternal and fetal medicine at Yale University Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, Conn. Dr. Murphy is also board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
