Stroke Club Learns Benefits of Yoga as Part of Recovery

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club learns about the “The Benefits of Yoga Following a Stroke” at its meeting from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on May 8.

The club meets at The Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster Road in Traverse City.

Yoga for Health Education Co-Director Michael Robold will share how yoga is helpful in restoring strength and movement. He has taught more than 7,000 hours of yoga classes and workshops through Northwestern Michigan College extended education program for nearly 15 years.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets the second Wednesday of each month. The stroke club offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect with one another through speakers, demonstrations, and group discussions.
