Munson Healthcare President and CEO Ed Ness was elected chair-elect of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association Board of Trustees. His term began July 1.
The board directs the greater Lansing-based association’s statewide representation of hospitals and health care providers. Ness will serve the role for the 2019 - 20 program year. Beaumont Health Southfield President John Fox was elected chair of the board, and Spectrum Health President and CEO Freese Decker as treasurer.
Ness has led the Traverse City-based health system since May 2010. He joined Munson Medical Center as executive vice president and chief operating officer in 1999 and was appointed president of Munson Medical Center in 2004.
