Kalkaska Memorial Unveils New Medical Pavilion

07.10.2019

Kalkaska Memorial Health Center will unveil its new medical pavilion at its annual Strawberry Social on Sunday, July 14.

The Strawberry Social and Open House will run from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sunday on hospital grounds. There will be ongoing tours of the new building and a small health fair in the Dr. William Kitti Stone House that features free screenings, educational opportunities, and giveaways.

Food at the Strawberry Social also will be free.

In 2017, Kalkaska County voters approved a 10-year millage to support the construction of the new pavilion. The pavilion represents the first phase of a multi-year campus plan. It features more than 30,000 square feet and 36 exam rooms. The first floor will house physician services and a new main entrance for easier wayfinding. The second floor will offer education classrooms and infusion therapy, with plans to add chemotherapy in 2020.

The project also provides 104 new parking spots.
