Cancer Survivors Invited to Celebrate at Annual Picnic
Front lawn of historic Building 50 will be site for the June 2 event

The 26th Annual National Cancer Survivors’ Day celebration picnic will be held Sunday, June 2, on the spacious front lawn of historic Building 50 adjacent to 11th and Elmwood streets in Traverse City.

Anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer and their family is invited to join the festivities which begin at 1 p.m. and continue until 3 p.m. A light lunch, dessert, and soft drinks will be served.

More than 300 cancer survivors and their family members took part in the fun last year. Come and join in this annual celebration of life, laughter, and sharing. There will be family entertainment, music, survivors’ gifts, and door prizes.

While the picnic is free, registration is requested by May 23. For more information or to register, contact Arta Marek at (231) 935-6202 or amarek@mhc.net.

The picnic is sponsored by Munson Medical Center’s Cancer Services and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. For more information, please call Cancer Services at (231) 935-6202.
