Paul Oliver Promotes ‘Eating to Prevent Chronic Diseases’
Hospital dietitian will offer information, cooking demo on healthy meals
Tasty food can also be healthy food. Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital dietitian Meghan Redmond, R.D., and Food and Nutrition Services Chef Linda Wichtner plan to cook up an informational and healthy session on “Eating to Prevent Chronic Diseases” from 4:30 - 5:30 pm on Tuesday, May 22 in Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital’s multi-purpose room.
Redmond will present information on antioxidants and phytochemicals and what foods to choose to reap their benefits. Wichtner will present a cooking demonstration on how to clean, prepare, cook, and add these healthy foods to everyday meals.
While there is no fee, registration is requested to ensure enough food for participants to taste. To register, contact Redmond at (231) 352-2959.
