Munson Healthcare Launches New Website
Munson Healthcare recently launched a new website after more than a year of development. It is the first upgrade to the system’s website in more than 10 years.
“We are very excited to bring this significantly improved website online,” said Kathy Garthe, Vice President of Regional System Development and Corporate Communications. “We believe patients, visitors, physicians, and staff will find the new site is much easier to navigate and loaded with useful information.”
The site’s contemporary look and navigation was designed in line with industry best practices and provides quick access to key things people want – information about physicians, services, health content, employment opportunities, bill paying, and updated class registration, event, and news sections. Additional information will be added during the next few months.
“We’d like to hear feedback so we can continue to expand the kind of information people want in a format that is practical for them,” Garthe said.
Keeping Content Current
The new site used a content management system allowing designated representatives from Munson Healthcare departments to update information so it remains current, dynamic, and relevant. The upgraded site improves representation of each facility, with tabs to new sites for Kalkaska Memorial Health Center, Munson Home Health, Munson Healthcare, Munson Medical Center, and Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital. Tabs also link to Mercy Hospital Cadillac, Mercy Hospital Grayling, Otsego Memorial Hospital, and West Shore Medical Center, which remain on current platforms.

Links are provided to other related educationally rich pages, including videos, news stories, a health library, and other websites that offer pertinent information.
“Many new features will be added going forward,” Garthe said. “The site will not be perfect, but it allows us to move forward and make updates and upgrades in a much more nimble and responsive manner.”
