Podiatrist Discusses Foot and Ankle Injuries
Happy feet require some tender loving care.
Injuries to the foot or ankle stop athletes and non-athletes in their tracks. Keeping feet healthy and pain-free can go a long way toward ensuring that every sport or activity is enjoyable.
Podiatrist William Stych, D.P.M., will offer a program on how to prevent and treat foot and ankle injuries from 6 - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, in Munson Community Health Center’s Meeting Room A&B. Dr. Stych will share information on the most common injuries such as arch pain, ankle sprains, tendonitis, and blisters, as well as good prevention tips such as stretching before workouts, selecting appropriate footwear, and seeing a podiatrist when foot pain occurs.

A podiatric physician and surgeon, Dr. Stych practices at Foot and Ankle Associates, 4001 W. Royal Drive in Traverse City. He is on staff at Munson Medical Center and is a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
The program is free and open to the public, however registration is requested. For more information, or to register, call the Munson Community Health Library at (231) 935-9265.
