Other Treatments for Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)

Most treatments for peripheral artery disease (PAD) are directed at slowing the progression of the atherosclerosis that causes the disease. The first-line of treatment is often directed at treating the underlying causes, including high blood pressure , diabetes, blood fat disorders, smoking , sedentary lifestyle, and obesity .
Specific treatments for PAD include lifestyle changes, medications, and invasive procedures.
