Childhood obesity is an increasing concern in our population, and a number of health risks including diabetes, high cholesterol and hypertension are associated with this alarming trend. The Youth WOW program is a 4-month intensive program to help a child age 10 and older who may be at risk for becoming overweight or obese. Family Practice physician, Dr. Friedli, will present a community program that discusses the causes of obesity in children and the behavioral, nutritional and exercise lifestyle components of the Youth WOW program. Dr. Friedli is Medical Director of Munson’s Healthy Weight Management Program and has a special interest in assisting families that struggle with weight.
