Munson Medical Center’s Infusion Clinic serves patients throughout northern Michigan, as well as those visiting the area or here for an extended stay. The clinic is located on Sixth Street across from Munson and provides comprehensive outpatient infusion services including transfusions, infusions, chemotherapy, bone marrow biopsies, catheter care, phlebotomy, minor procedures, PICC insertions, and patient education.
Munson’s Infusion Clinic opened in 1987 with just two beds. Today, the 18-bed Infusion Clinic provides a comfortable and relaxing environment for nearly 8,000 patients a year and their families.
Munson’s Infusion Clinic is staffed with experienced Registered Nurses who administer a variety of services.

Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic A partnership with the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids brings regular clinics to the Munson Infusion Clinic to treat children with cancer. While primary diagnosis and treatment will continue to occur in Grand Rapids, the clinics provide routine check-ups, blood draws, and re-examinations. Children will also receive a portion of their chemotherapy at the Infusion Clinic. These clinics will allow DeVos pediatric hematology and oncology specialists to see patients in Traverse City, reducing some of the travel time for the children and their families. Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic In order to meet patient needs closer to home, the Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic was established in collaboration with Barbara Adams, MD, of C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan. The clinic allows young patients with rheumatic diseases to see a specialist close to home rather than traveling to Ann Arbor. Out-of-area patients must have orders signed by the physician.
Hours The Munson Infusion Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Limited services are available on weekends. For after-hours access, call the Munson Medical Center switchboard at (231) 935-5000 and ask to have the Infusion Clinic on-call nurse paged.
Directions to the Clinic The Munson Infusion Clinic is located at 1200 Sixth Street, ground floor, across the street from Munson Medical Center. Parking is located at the west end of the building.
