Health Wise
Munson’s cardiac care education program,
Health Wise, can help participants develop the skills needed to
recognize the early symptoms of a heart attack and stroke. It
can also help them take the appropriate steps needed to overcome
denial or resistance to assistance. Participants first learn the
patterns of denial that heart attack and stroke victims often
demonstrate. Strategies to overcome denial are then taught. As
a result, participants can recognize the seriousness of symptoms
when they occur, and quickly seek medical care at the nearest
hospital emergency room.
