A4 is for patients who are undergoing
a variety of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. These
procedures include angioplasty,
stents,
pacemakers
and implanted defibrillators.
Patients on this 30-bed unit are experiencing a cardiac condition which
requires hospitalization, such as recovery from a heart attack
or having heart rhythm irregularities.
All patients on A4 receive 24-hour-a-day
monitoring where patients are tracked via a telemetry device (a
small transmitter), which allows them to walk around while their
heart rhythm is read at a nursing station. Critical care features
on the unit can include temporary pacemakers and arterial monitoring.
The highly-skilled staff is prepared to manage many cardiac problems
which may include regulating temporary pacemakers, administering
lifesaving intravenous medications, and treating life-threatening
arrhythmias.
If you are a Munson Healthcare patient and have a compliment,
concern, or complaint, please contact one of our Patient
