Munson’s heart team includes 21 cardiologists and four cardiothoracic surgeons, as well as vascular surgeons, internists, neurologists, specialty-trained nurses, and various specialists who work together to provide the safest, highest quality heart care.

If you need follow-up heart care after a procedure, Munson’s heart experts come to you. The Munson heart team see patients at eleven locations so patients don’t have to spend time, money, or energy driving long distances to their appointments. Cardiac rehabilitation is available at all eight Munson Healthcare hospitals.

Dick Sharkey was not a candidate for another invasive heart surgery, so his cardiologist recommended a new, minimally-invasive procedure called transcatheter aortic valve replacement or TAVR. Munson Medical Center began offering the new procedure in September 2012. Watch Video
