Cardiac Education and Support

Heart to Heart Cardiac Awareness Group

This awareness support group for women meets the first Thursday of the month at 7 pm. It is an opportunity for women who have experienced a heart attack or heart surgery to share their story and what has worked in their healing process. It is also designed to help increase awareness of the symptoms of heart disease among women without a cardiac diagnosis. Heart disease is the number one killer of women. Women need to be aware that heart disease can happen to them.

Cardiac Lecture Series

Monthly cardiac education classes are held at Munson Community Health Center during the day and at Munson Medical Center in the evenings. Topics include nutrition, stress management techniques, heart healthy exercise, and heart attack and stroke awareness. For more information, call (231) 935-8565.
