Counseling
Nutrition
is a key to good health. One step toward achieving nutritional
health is education knowing how food works in your body
and how to find an appropriate balance in the foods you choose.
Another is to make intelligent use of the mass of nutritional
information that confronts you on a daily basis and put this information
to work for your improved health. Education is especially crucial
if you are facing a health condition or are interested in preventing
a health condition.
Our Nutritional Counseling staff consists
of Registered Dietitians. All staff are members of the American
Dietetic Association.
Outpatient nutrition consultation is provided
on an individual basis at Mercy Hospital Grayling, as well as
the Mercy Family Care Clinics in Houghton Lake/Prudenville and
Roscommon. Additionally, nutritional counseling services are provided
to residents of Mercy Manor, our long-term care facility and to
patients of Amicare Home health & Hospice.
The staff is also involved in community
education programs and speaking to various community groups.
For questions regarding appointments, programs,
and services available, please call (989) 348-0453.
