Munson Healthcare Laboratories provide a full range of state-of-the art lab services for inpatients and outpatients throughout northern Michigan.
CONVENIENT SERVICE LOCATIONS 
COURIER SERVICE
Courier service is provided seven days per week including holidays to physician's offices, clinics, area hospitals, and phlebotomy service centers throughout northern Michigan.
Courier service includes delivery of patient reports and specimen collection supplies and specimen pick up/transport to the appropriate testing laboratory. To request courier pick up, call Munson Medical Center Laboratory (231) 935-6100.
ABOUT THE LAB
Munson laboratories have evolved to incorporate highly sophisticated diagnostic instrumentation and technology operated by skilled, service-oriented employees who deliver timely, accurate results.
Our system includes laboratories located in the following hospitals:
Munson laboratories provide testing for inpatients, outpatients, emergency departments, physician's offices, and clinics. We serve as a reference lab for Alpena Regional Medical Center, Cheboygan Memorial Hospital, and West Shore Medical Center in Manistee, as well as specialty clinics.
Testing not provided within Munson Healthcare is sent to our laboratory partner, Mayo Medical Laboratories. Our laboratories are connected electronically with all results residing in one electronic medical record, PowerChart.
Munson laboratories are staffed by board-certified Pathologists, Medical Technologists, Histotechnicians, Cytotechnologists, Transcriptionists, Client Service Representatives, Laboratory Assistants, Phlebotomists, and Couriers.
Each of the laboratories is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and/or the Joint Commission, and is CLIA88 certified.
