Room Service
Patients at Munson Medical Center may order their meals with a
simple phone call — just the way they would order room service
in a hotel. Meals are cooked to order and delivered to patient
rooms by uniformed servers.
Munson patients may order meals any time between
7 am and 7 pm. Visiting family members or guests may also order
meals and pay for them with meal tickets purchased in the Gift
Shop or cafeteria.
Patients and guests may chose from a wide variety
of restaurant-like menu selections. Breakfast features seven fruit
choices, 10 hot and cold cereal choices, omelettes made to order,
and bakery items. Lunch and dinner features soups, salads, sandwiches,
four types of pasta, made-to-order pizza, plus taste-tempting
entrees such as baked Atlantic cod, cherry-glazed grilled chicken
breast, and roast turkey with dressing. A full range of desserts
and beverages are also available.
If a patient's physician has prescribed a special
diet, or if a patient is to undergo certain tests, some menu choices
may be modified or substituted. Dietary assistants will help with
those changes when the order is placed.
Cafeteria
The newly-renovated, spacious cafeteria at Munson Medical Center
is open every day for visitors and staff. Hours are:
Breakfast: 6 - 9:30 am
Lunch & Dinner:
Grill Station, Deli Station & Pizza
Station: 10:45 am - 7 pm
Hot Bar Station & Entrée Station: 10:45 am - 1:30
pm & 5 - 7 pm
Innovations Station: 10:45 am - 2 pm & 5 - 7 pm
Weekends & Holidays:
Entrée Station, Grill Station & Pizza
Station: 10:45 am -1:30 pm & 5 - 7 pm
The cafeteria is closed for cleaning each day from
10:15 - 10:30 am, and 3 - 3:15 pm.
You may request your food in disposable containers
if you plan to leave the cafeteria area with your meal.
Vending Machines
Just looking for a quick snack? Vending machines providing snacks
and beverages are located at the back of the cafeteria. Additional
pop machines are located throughout the hospital. Vending services
are available 24 hours a day.
