Live Healthier Life by Managing Chronic Pain
PATH workshop helps participants learn to manage long-term health issues
Chronic pain and other long-term health concerns sap the quality of life for many people. However, there are many steps one can take that can manage chronic health issues and boost the ability to enjoy life with family and friends.
Linda Cronk, MA, CFLE, from MSU Extension will facilitate a Personal Action Toward Health (PATH) introductory program from 6 - 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, that will introduce participants to this highly effective program that helps improve quality of life and teaches how to positively manage long-term health problems. The program will be in Meeting Rooms A & B at Munson Community Health Center.
After the introductory meeting, participants may sign up for the six-week workshop series that teaches proactive self-management of chronic pain by connecting with the best available health care resources. The six weeks of classes will run Mondays March 11 - April 15 from 1 - 3:30 p.m. in Munson Community Health Center Meeting Room B.
The program is sponsored by Munson Healthcare Community Library, Michigan State University Extension, and the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan. The introductory program and subsequent classes are free and open to the public, however registration is requested.
