Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Names New President
Chief Operating Officer Peter Marinoff will replace Jim Austin on Sept. 3

Munson Healthcare President and CEO Ed Ness announced today that Chief Operating Officer Peter Marinoff has been named president of Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital. Marinoff will replace Jim Austin who will retire from the hospital effective Sept. 3. Austin will continue to serve at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center as administrator until his retirement next year.

“Peter has demonstrated leadership and ability as chief operating officer at Paul Oliver for the past three years,” Ness said. “He is well acquainted with the health needs of the region and is focused on ensuring Benzie County residents will continue to enjoy access to medical care that is close to home.”

Marinoff joined Munson Healthcare in 1999 as an accountant, after serving at public accounting firms in Virginia and Traverse City. In 2007, he was named director of operations at Paul Oliver. He became chief operating officer in 2009.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be asked to serve the residents of Benzie County,” he said. “The hospital has a great staff and we intend to continue providing quality care for our communities.”

Marinoff received his master’s in business administration and health care certificate from the University of Michigan in Flint, Mich. He is a member of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association Small and Rural Hospital Council. He also is treasurer for the Benzie County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Benzie Sunrise Rotary.
