Medical Alert Service Offers Peace of Mind
Munson Home Health helps people live independently in their home

Leaving one’s home and independence is never an easy thing.

During the sunset years of life, grandmothers and grandfathers may need a helping hand from time to time within their house. To augment the assistance of children and grandchildren, or for those whose family for whatever reason is unavailable, Munson Home Health offers a medical alert system that provides immediate response 24 hours a day.

“As the baby boom generation ages we all guard our independence, and it can be a real safety net to use a service that provides peace of mind for loved ones and for yourself,” said Kristin Harrison, manager of Private Duty at Munson Home Health. “This puts help right at our fingertips.”

Medical alert devices, such as those provided by Munson Home Health, include a variety of models that can be worn around the neck or on the wrist. The user just pushes a button and there is hands-free, two-way communication with a professional call center advisor seconds after the button is pushed.

Subscribers pay a monthly fee that provides the button and related equipment. The basic subscription is $30 per month. There is no long-term contract or activation fee.

“It’s important for people to go with a system they can trust,” Harrison said. “This is ideal for people who are living alone, those who are concerned about security, those at risk for falls, or recovering from an accident or surgery.”
