Conference Overview
The effects of chronic disease in pregnancy can impact the future health of the mother as well as the developing fetus. This conference will provide a brief overview of the normal physiological changes that occur in pregnancy and how obesity, diabetes, Lupus, and Crohn’s disease may impact pregnancy outcomes. It will also address the nurse’s role in various obstetrical emergencies including current evidence-based interventions to provide safe, efficient, quality care in a highly technological environment while maintaining the "Art of Nursing."
