Paul Oliver Living and Rehabilitation Center

A PLACE TO RECOVER, A PLACE TO CALL HOME

Welcome to Paul Oliver Living and Rehabilitation Center!

Whether you need to recover after surgery or you need that extra care as you grow older, our 39 bed living center can provide that care for you.

A Child Development Center is an integral part of the Eden experience.

Each day the children join the residents to play games, cook, sing, and make crafts.

As an Eden Alternative™facility, we provide a lively, home-like environment and ensure that elders or guest residents are cared for according to their needs. We consider your daily habits, likes and dislikes, and past and present activities. We have two delightful cats, the quiet and gentle Grace and the noisier and more playful Glory, an aviary of finches, and a fish tank. We encourage families to help their loved ones feel more at home by bringing small items in that will provide a sense of familiarity and comfort. The Eden Alternative™ seeks to care for the whole human being, not just medical necessities. Through the Eden experience, elders continue to express themselves and grow emotionally, as well as spiritually.

Our team of care partners works together to ensure your care is well coordinated to enhance your quality of life and allow you to maintain your independence.

Commitment and Quality You Can Count On

Because the care center is hospital-based, physicians and emergency medical care are available 24 hours a day. Nursing teams consist of RNs, LPNs, and certified nurses aides who work together to provide coordinated care around the clock. Rehabilitation services include speech, respiratory, occupational and physical therapy. As an affiliate of Munson Healthcare, speech and hearing testing, dental care, and other specialized services are available, as is emergency and air transportation.

Activities and Camaraderie

The view of beautiful Lake Michigan can be seen from the windows of our unit and from our outdoor deck. A wide range of social activities, games and media pastimes are available to elders. Meals are served in our beautiful dining room where elders can be served from their tables or approach the serving area and choose their meals themselves. Special outings, pets, and children offer residents companionship and camaraderie. Television, movies, books, newspapers, and telephones are also available, and residents are strongly encouraged to maintain family ties and friendships.

Many summer days are spent on our deck with luaus, music, and barbecues.

Child Development Center

The child development center at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital is an integral part of the Eden experience. Each week the children join the elders to play games, cook, sing, and make crafts. These small group activities provide growth and fulfill a need in both the children and the elders.

Additional Offerings

In addition, we offer the following to enhance residents’ quality of life:
