Stroke Club Marks Valentine’s Day with ‘Family Love Letters’

01.30.2020

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will host financial planner Vicki Beam from Fortitude Wealth Planners, LLC, at its Feb. 12 meeting from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

The group meets at The Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster Road in Traverse City. The public is welcome.

Beam’s presentation will detail the “Family Love Letters” program, which records vital information loved ones should know in the case of a sudden incapacitation or death.

“Family Love Letters are documents that detail the locations of your investments, insurance, and other assets,” Beam said. “They also show where to find wills and trusts, power(s) of attorney, citizenship, military records, burial information, and more. You want to make sure your loved ones know how to locate your professional advisors and what values and traditions you wish to be passed on to future generations.”

All in attendance will receive a complimentary copy of the Family Love Letter booklet.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets the second Wednesday of each month. The group offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect through speakers, demonstrations, and group discussions.
