Health System Names Women’s, Children’s Executive Director

Munson Healthcare President of Ambulatory Services and Value Based Care Laura Glenn announced today that Joan Rikli, M.B.A., M.S.N., R.N., CPNP-PC, NE-BC, has been named Women’s and Children’s Service Line executive director.

Rikli will have responsibility for coordinating women’s and children’s services across the system, with the accountability of the overall performance of the service line. In addition, Rikli will be responsible for the obstetrics and pediatrics practices within the Munson Healthcare Physician Network.   

“Joan is a safety-focused, collaborative healthcare leader with more than 35 years of experience,” Glenn said. “We are excited about the level of expertise she will bring to our communities in the care of women, children and infants.”

Rikli is joining Munson Healthcare from Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and Butterworth Hospital of Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids where she has held a number of leadership positions in women’s, pediatric, and neonatal services.  

“I am passionate about women’s and children’s health and am excited to be part of continuing to grow services for these populations,” Rikli said.

Rikli has a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of California, a master of science in nursing in the pediatric nurse practitioner program from the University of Michigan, and a master’s in business administration from Grand Valley State University.
