The Munson Healthcare Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will virtually host members from the Petoskey Stroke Club on May 12 to compare notes and learn from one another.
The group will discuss the most useful ideas and tactics for supporting themselves and their loved ones on their journeys through stroke recovery. Topics will include:
- What elements contribute to meaningful stroke support?
- What reasons do people consider before joining a local stroke support group?
- What factors make people return to the group each month?
The groups will meet via telephone from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. Participants will receive the conference dial-in phone number and access code by registering at: munsonhealthcare.org/strokeclub.
Melinda Hollands, L.M.S.W. at Munson Medical Center’s Patient Care Management Department will facilitate. Melinda has practiced social work for 34 years including 21 years with Munson Healthcare.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets the second Wednesday of each month. The group offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect through speakers, demonstrations, and discussions.
