Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital, Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital, Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital, and Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital all received “B” marks.

“Even as we constantly adapt to the challenges of the pandemic, our staff and providers across the health system continue to elevate the quality of care we provide to our communities,” said Ed Ness, president and CEO of Munson Healthcare. “These grades reflect a strong and enduring commitment to keeping the patient at the center of all we do.”

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization that examines hospital quality and safety, assigning an A, B, C, D, and F grade based on how safe the facility is for patients.

Munson Medical Center President and CEO Matt Wille applauded the efforts of the hospital’s care team.

“This recognition is a testament to the skill, dedication and compassion our healthcare team brings with them to Munson Medical Center each day,” he said. “The resilience and unwavering commitment they’ve shown to their patients and community over the last 20 months has been inspiring.”

The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Grade was developed under the guidance of a national panel and uses more than 30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to grade hospitals across the nation twice each year.

The hospital safety grade’s methodology is peer-reviewed with results that are free and accessible to the public.
