Munson Healthcare will go-live with its new enhanced Find a Doctor directory on Mon., June 27. The new directory will expand its current provider information to include additional data elements in an improved easy-to-search format. This change is part of our new Consumer Access Solutions strategy.

Why the change: Munson Healthcare credentialed medical staff will have the opportunity to better customize their personal online profile, with an updated headshot, written bio, and profile video. Consumers will experience improved search and provider match functionality. By adding these enhancements, it will allow patients and their families to more easily select the best provider to fit their needs.
Action Requested:
- Provide written bio: If you have not already provided your bio to the MHC Physician Liaison team, please use these guidelines to create your bio and send to physicianliaison@mhc.net.
- Update headshot: MHC also encourages all credentialed providers to have an updated professional headshot on file. If you would like to call and schedule a sitting, here is a list of our contracted photographers. Headshots for credentialed providers are covered by MHC.

The enhanced Find a Doctor directory will add several features:
- Consumer Search Configuration: The new directory platform offers a very robust clinical keyword configuration to pull the appropriate providers based on a consumer’s search terms. Last year, 42% of all searches were condition based and by adding specialty/condition-based elements, it yields 8 times more appointment bookings.
- Provider Profile Enhancements: The new platform offers written bios to be housed on the individual profile along with provider profile videos. There will also be tags for providers who are “accepting new patients” and “offering video visits.” Future state, there will be ratings/reviews from our Press Ganey surveys.
- Online Scheduling: Coming in September 2022, patients will be able to self-schedule appointments online through our Find a Doctor directory. Phase one will begin with offering online scheduling for Cerner Primary Care practices.
