Stroke Support Group Discusses ‘Value of Structure, Routine’

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will talk about “The Value of Structure and Routine” during a teleconference from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Melinda Hollands, L.M.S.W., with Munson Medical Center’s Patient Care Management Department will facilitate an open discussion at the group meeting and encourages participants to share ideas of how structure and routine are important in contrast with excitement and spontaneity. Hollands has practiced social work for 35 years including 22 years with Munson Healthcare.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets on the second Wednesday of each month. The group offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect through speakers, demonstrations, and discussions.
