“The majority of lung cancer is diagnosed at a later stage which contributes to high mortality,” says radiologist Patrick Gartland, MD.
However, Munson Medical Center’s lung cancer screening program is working to improve the odds for patients by detecting lung cancer earlier through low-dose chest CT scans.
