Munson Healthcare is pleased to welcome Angela J. Vanderkarr, N.P., to Roscommon Community Health Center, located at 234 Lake Street in Roscommon, Mich.
Vanderkarr always felt medicine was her calling because of her empathy and compassion for those in need of medical care. She became a nurse and worked primarily in cardiac telemetry and the operating room. She went back to school and received her nurse practitioner degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Mich.
As a primary care provider, Vanderkarr cares for newborns to older adults. She enjoys performing in-office procedures, providing health education to patients, and improving a person’s health and quality of life.
“I want my current and future patients to know I will provide the very best care and will take each person’s health very seriously,” Vanderkarr said. “We have an amazing team of medical assistants and providers at our Roscommon clinic who are ready to serve our community.”
Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Vanderkarr moved to the United States and became an American citizen. She resided in Tampa, Fla. for 27 years with her husband, Mark, who retired from MacDill Air Force Base before moving to northern Michigan.
In her free time, she loves to spend time in all four seasons including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, downhill skiing, rustic camping, and backpacking.
