Munson Healthcare Home Health recently received high marks from the independent surveying agency that reviews community-based health care organizations for the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Surveyors spent a week on site and reviewed compliance with more than 50,000 regulations and guidelines required by various regulatory bodies including CMS.
"Munson Healthcare Home Health continues to be an industry leader as evidenced by the outstanding results of our latest accrediting survey,” said Shari Wilson, president of Munson Home Health. “All of our Munson Healthcare Home Health staff members are highly skilled, dedicated employees who truly care about the patients and the families that we have the privilege to serve in northern Michigan.”
Surveyors from Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) reported that 99 percent of regulatory criteria were met or exceeded.
“Surveyors commented several times on how thorough our documentation is,” said Carolyn Kelly, R.N., Munson Healthcare Home Health resource nurse educator. “They also mentioned the great relationships between patients and care providers that were evident during the home visits they observed.”
Munson Healthcare Home Health services include skilled nursing care and therapy, as well as home infusion, private duty care, home medical equipment, medical alerts, transportation, palliative care and hospice end-of-life care.
Surveyors gave Munson Healthcare Home Medical Equipment a perfect performance during the survey. The service has several retail locations around northern Michigan including Cadillac, Gaylord and Traverse City. All locations carry a complete line of medical equipment including beds, oxygen, diabetic supplies, wheelchairs, nutritional supplements, and much more.
