How do I refer a great candidate for EVS employment?

It’s easy! Just submit a referral form by going to munsonhealthcare.org/refer. When the candidate applies, be sure that they list your name on the application.

The person I want to refer has already applied. Can I still get a referral payment?

You must submit the referral form within 7 days of when the application is received. This program does not pay for referrals of applicants currently within our application system, regardless of positions they have applied for in the past 12 months.  

Can I get payment for referring a current employee or transfer?

This program does not include referrals of current employees or transfers within Munson Healthcare or its affiliates.

Can I refer a former employee, temporary employee, intern, or volunteer?

You cannot refer anyone with a previous contractual relationship or employment relationship with Munson Healthcare or its affiliates within the past 12 months.

If I submit the referral, and the application is received on the same day, am I still eligible for the referral bonus?

Yes. If the referral and application are received on the same day, you are eligible for the referral bonus.

If the candidate applied yesterday, and I completed the referral today, am I eligible for the referral bonus?

Yes, as long as the referral form is received within 7 days. 

What if more than one employee refers an applicant?

The bonus will be awarded to the first employee to submit the referral form.

When will I receive my referral bonus?

The referral bonus will be paid in two installments: The first installment of $250 will be paid within two payroll periods after the referral hire date, and the second installment of $250 will be paid within two payroll periods after the new hire has successfully completed their Introductory Period. To receive both installments, you and your referral must remain employed through the new hire’s Introductory Period.

How will I receive my referral bonus?

Your referral bonus will be added to your paycheck and is subject to IRS tax guidelines.

Will I receive the exact referral payout amounts ($250)?

No. Tax guidelines from the IRS dictate that the bonuses for our employee referral program are subject to standard tax withholdings.

Who is eligible for the grand prize drawings?

Referred candidates must begin employment with Munson Medical Center on or before April 1, 2020, for the referring employee to be eligible to participate in the grand prize drawings.

Who is eligible for the $500 referral bonus?

The EVS referral bonus program is available to employees at wholly owned subsidiaries of Munson Healthcare, except Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital, Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital, Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital and Munson Home Health. Administrators, directors, physicians, managers, and Human Resources staff not are eligible to participate.
