Pediatrics is the specialty of medical science concerned with the physical, emotional, and social health of children from birth to young adulthood. Care encompasses a broad spectrum of health services ranging from preventive health care to the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. Pediatricians consider biological, social and environmental influences on the developing child, and the impact of disease and dysfunction on development.

Obstetric physicians treat women during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum as well as treat infertility issues and high risk pregnancies.

A Gynecologist focuses on the general health care of women, and the surgical and non-surgical treatment of the female reproductive organs. Gynecology physicians treat a variety of conditions affecting the female reproductive organs such as endometriosis, incontinence including bladder suspension, pelvic injuries, infertility, menopause, menstruation and hormone imbalances
