Betsie Hosick Health and Fitness Center: All Munson Healthcare employees receive discounted rates. Individual ($199), couple ($299) and family $399. Stop by the fitness center for membership application; payroll deduction available

  • Discounted membership includes:
    • Free unlimited classes, including varying levels of Pilates and yoga, Zumba, boot camps, and high intensity interval training, among others.   
    • Basketball
    • Racquet ball
    • Cardio equipment
    • High quality machine and free weights
  • Free training time with a certified personal trainer shows anyone new to the fitness center how to safely and properly use all of the fitness equipment. Are you feeling unsure where to get started? Don’t want to aggravate an old injury? Want tips on an individualized strength-training program? All Munson Healthcare employees may stop by the fitness center front desk for personal training times. Registration is required one day prior to training. 
  • Active Steps is a beginner’s class for individuals on dialysis or with pre-diabetes or diabetes that focuses on strength training, cardio, core, and balance. A certified athletic trainer will guide you every step of the way to ensure you are meeting your individual goals and will leave the program with the confidence to continue on your own. Pre-registration is required. This class runs twice a week for 10 weeks and is offered four times a year. Sessions start in January, April, July, and October. Call 231-651-9048 to learn more.
  • Journey: A free 10-week class for individuals who have become chronically fatigued or deconditioned from cancer treatment. The small group format supports participants in maintaining perspective as they battle the disease and return to normal life. Each session focuses on strength-training exercises including free weights, machines, and cables. Cardiovascular exercise is also taught with introduction to various machines including the treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bike. Training for core, balance, flexibility, and postural retraining are also included in the program. Pre-registration is required. This class runs twice a week for 10 weeks and is offered four times a year. Sessions start in January, April, July, and October. Call 231-651-9048 to learn more.
  • Nutrition Education: Monthly lunch-and-learns are hosted by a registered dietitian nutritionist. A light lunch is provided. View upcoming events.
  • Fitness Education: Starting in spring 2019, the monthly fitness center lecture series will be hosted by a certified athletic trainer. View upcoming events. 

Employees also may use the cardiac rehab equipment at no charge, including a new walking track.
