Health & Wellness Book Club

The library’s book club discusses health and wellness books related to the mind, body and spirit. We meet on the second Wednesday of every other month (except July) from 5:30 – 7 pm in the Café at the Foster Family Community Health Center at 550 Munson Avenue in Traverse City. Copies of this book can be checked out at no cost from the library. Light refreshments will be provided but also feel free to bring your own food and drink.

Health Care Resources

The library’s collection is designed for the lay-person and covers traditional, complementary, and alternative medicine. Resources are presented in plain language and are free of medical jargon.

Resources include books, health magazines, DVDs, CDs, anatomical models, kits, educational games, condition-specific tote bags, a regional support group directory, and access to online information. 

Resources can be borrowed at no cost for an extended period of time.

Health Insurance Marketplace 

The library’s health information professionals are trained as Certified Application Counselors and can assist you during open enrollment and with qualifying changes in insurance coverage outside the enrollment period.

For your convenience, consumer health kiosks are available at the following Munson Healthcare locations to help you access online health care resources and your patient portal:
