Rewarding Volunteer Opportunities

Munson Healthcare Hospice actively seeks volunteers who would like to bring comfort and support to patients and their families throughout northern Michigan.

As a Munson Healthcare Hospice volunteer, you can help enhance the quality of life for families during their loved one’s final phase of life. Reading aloud, praying together, enjoying music, holding a hand, assisting with errands, providing complementary therapies or simply listening are all ways that hospice volunteers help patients, their families, and their friends. We also have volunteer opportunities for office support.

New Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Munson Hospice volunteer. There are many ways to serve as a hospice volunteer. We want you to consider the following requirements before moving forward:

  • All volunteers are required to complete a training/orientation.
  • All volunteers must complete a two-step TB test and are required to receive annual flu vaccinations. We provide these for you.
  • Due to state law, hospice volunteers are required to submit to a criminal background check and be fingerprinted.

If you are ready to join our team or simply want more information, please complete the following form. Your responses on this form will be kept private and secure.
