What Does a Critical Care Nurse Do?

Critical Care Nurse Critical care nurses manage and monitor the most severely ill patients, often addressing life-threatening illnesses or injuries. They work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, surgeons, advanced practiced professionals, respiratory therapists, and case managers, to ensure the best care for the patient.

Critical care nurses perform complex assessments and manage intensive interventions and therapies. The condition of a severely ill patient can change rapidly, so these professionals must be able to adapt quickly and work well under pressure.

Munson Healthcare offers residency programs to provide on-the-job training and vital experience. New nurses are invited to participate in residencies in critical careneonatal intensive care, and peri-anesthesia care.

Why Critical Care Nurses Choose Munson Healthcare

Munson Healthcare employees may have had different reasons for pursuing careers in nursing, but common to all our critical care nurses is the fulfilment they feel in improving lives and the satisfaction that comes from working with an amazing team.
