It takes a diversity of skills and experience to run a kitchen, especially in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Our team of kitchen and floor staff works together to ensure meals are prepared well and served promptly and courteously. Nutrition Services roles at Munson Healthcare include:
Cook
Use your culinary knowledge and skills to help patients heal and to fuel healthcare workers. Cooks prepare hot food for patients, visitors, and employees, assist with inventory, and help ensure proper food handling and the sanitation of the work area. Previous food service experience is required; experience in a large or fast-paced setting such as a hospital, school, casino, or corrections institution is a plus.
Food Service Worker
Food Service Workers are valued members of the team, helping in a variety of ways with meal service and kitchen operations. As a Food Service Worker, you may be responsible for: receiving, checking-in, stocking, and cleaning food products, set-up and tear down of equipment, general cold food preparation, and patient tray assembly. Previous food service experience is preferred.
Meal Service Attendant
A friendly attitude and a bit of nourishment can make all the difference to a patient. Meal or Food Service Attendants play a critical role in delivering meals and snacks to patients in a professional and positive manner. They'll be responsible for planning routes and ensuring patient safety with specific dietary needs.
No previous experience is required.
