During the event, attendees will have the privilege of meeting the surgeons who use the robot, including Jared Davis, DO, specialist in urology; Barrett Kielhorn, DO, specialist in General Surgery; Emily McKerchie, DO, also specialist in General Surgery; and Dr. Caitlyn Monks, DO, specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology. These esteemed physicians will introduce participants to the state-of-the-art da Vinci XI® surgical robot, providing an illuminating overview of the hospital's robotic surgery offerings.
Munson announced its Regional Care Transformation Plan in 2023 which ensures more and better access to the services people would like to see in their communities including more outpatient services and primary care – the expansion of robotic surgery in Charlevoix is part of that plan. The Da Vinci XI Open House promises an engaging and informative experience for all community members interested in learning about the future of surgical care. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with the da Vinci XI system, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into how robotic-assisted surgery is reshaping patient care and outcomes.
