Minutes Matter in Stroke Awareness: Neurologist Shares Insight

As part of National Stroke Awareness Month, Munson Healthcare offers a virtual presentation covering the disease that each year touches more than 750,000 Americans.

Kersti Bruining, M.D., neurologist and Munson Medical Center Stroke Program medical director, will discuss stroke prevention tips, warning signs, and stroke treatment options. The presentation will also cover the impact of COVID-19 on stroke and how to reduce overall stroke risk.

The stroke awareness discussion will stream live Thursday, May 6 from 4 - 5 p.m. on Munson Healthcare’s Facebook page: facebook.com/munsonhc. The presentation is free and open to the public. 

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association honored Munson Medical Center with its Get with The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Award as well as the Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus and Target Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll Awards in 2020.
