Cardiac Monitor Update

When documenting results from a cardiac monitor, the data will populate in Interactive View at the time that matches when the vitals were taken on the monitor.

Discern Alerts Feedback

Discern alerts have an optional checkbox to provide feedback on the alert. To utilize the feedback form, check the Provide Feedback box and click OK. 

Medication Reconciliation Completed before Medication History Alert

A new alert will fire when starting the Admission Medication Reconciliation prior to the completion of the Medication History.

One-Time Order Medication Alert

Selecting Not Done or Not Given for a One-Time Order medication will fire an alert. If acknowledged, the order will not be available for future administration.

Proposed Orders in Message Center

There is a temporary change in workflow when accepting proposed orders in Message Center. Click on the Request tab in the message to use Accept All and Next.

Provider Selection

View active patient relationships only is selected by default in the Provider Selection dialog box but can be unchecked to see additional options.

Readmission Prevention Worklist Sort Button

To sort the worklist, click to the left of the sort button.

Social History Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Options

In Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity boxes, Other has been removed as an option. To provide a comment for the Sexual Orientation questions, select an option then select Add Comment. To provide a comment for the Gender Identity questions, select Addl gender category or other, please specify, and a comment box will automatically pop up.

Specimen Collection Requisition Printing Retired

The Print Requisition option will be retired from the drop-down menu within Specimen Collection. The Print Label option will be face-up on the menu.

Tag Button Update

The Tag button will now default to blue and must be clicked to view list. It will no longer appear dithered when no items are tagged, and the count of the tagged items will be hidden. Additionally, hovering over the Tag button will no longer display the list.

Workspace Auto Text Date Tokens

Data Tokens and Smart Templates are shortcuts used to bring Oracle Health data into documentation, usually as part of Auto Texts (dot phrases). They are found in the Manage Auto Text section of documentation.

Starting 5/28/2025, Auto Texts that contain Data Tokens will no longer function properly in documentation components (i.e., Objective/Physical Exam or Review of Systems) on MPages because of the implementation of a new functionality called Workspace. Data Tokens will still work in other areas of PowerChart/FirstNet (i.e., Clinical Notes, Message Center). There are no changes in the functionality of Smart Templates.

If your Auto Text (dot phrase) contains a Data Token without a Smart Template equivalent, it will appear as an underscore (_) and trigger an alert when used in a documentation component on an MPage.

Short-term workaround for this issue includes:

• Type or use Dragon (DMO) to enter the missing information.
• Open a Dynamic Documentation note and insert the Auto Text directly into the note.
