Employee Referral Program – New Enhanced Bonus!

You know great people that you’d like to work with. As a thank you for talking to them about Munson and getting them to apply, we’re upping the referral bonus for Med-Surg midnight core RN hires. Here are the details:

• $15,000 per midnight Med-Surg RN referred and hired
• Additional $10,000 bonus if you refer 5 midnight Med-Surg RNs that are hired
• That’s potentially an $85,000 bonus for referring 5 qualified RNs!
• To qualify for the bonus
  • The RN must have at least 1 year of inpatient acute care experience and accept a midnight Med-Surg RN position
  • Transfers and employees of KMHC are not eligible referrals
  • The applicant must apply by December 1 and put the referring employee’s name on their application, no exceptions

Great! Employee Referrals often lead to great matches! Over the last year, we have hired more than 300 employees through referrals.

How to earn your referral bonus:

• When your referral applies, they must identify you on their application(s): both your name and your MHC.net email address.
• If your referral applies for multiple jobs, your name and MHC.net email address must be on each application including the application for the role the candidate is hired into. Names cannot be added after applications are submitted (no exceptions).
• Only one employee can be named on the application.
• If the candidate is hired, you will be paid approximately 4 weeks after the new hire’s start date.

Program Details

Anyone who refers a candidate who is hired may receive $2,000 - $3,000, according to the chart below:

*Amounts are pro-rated based on FTE of new hire if less than full-time.

Additional Guidelines:

• There are no restrictions on the number of people an employee can refer.
• Referred candidates must not be currently employed by Munson Healthcare or Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. If the candidate was previously employed by Munson Healthcare, they must have a gap in service of 12 months or greater for the referral to be eligible.
• Temporary, On-call, PRN, TOC, physician roles and contracted positions are not currently eligible for referral awards.
• Most Munson Healthcare employees are eligible for the bonus with the following exceptions:
  • The Talent Acquisition Team is not eligible
  • Physicians are not eligible
  • Managers are eligible for the bonus as long as the referred candidate is hired into an area in which the manager does not have oversight
  • The bonus is not available for employees of contracted service partners
• Bonus amount is pre-tax.
• Bonus amounts and eligibility will be reassessed periodically for the duration of the program and are subject to change.
