Munson Healthcare is pleased to announce online appointment self-scheduling is now available at outpatient laboratory locations in Elk Rapids, Suttons Bay, Kingsley, and Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital’s (OMH) main on-site lab in Gaylord.
Online self-scheduling allows patients to book appointment times at their convenience on a web-enabled computer, tablet, or smartphone. After scheduling, patients will receive a confirmation email with instructions for their appointment day. Patients will also receive a text message reminder both 24 hours and one hour in advance of their appointment time.
Self-scheduling also allows laboratory staff to perform quality assurance procedures in advance. This helps ensure a high-quality care experience with less patient wait time.
“We’re excited to offer patients this new online scheduling option,” said Bonnie Torres, Munson Healthcare Laboratory director. “Patients have already been enjoying no-wait appointments all year. Now patients can self-schedule online when it’s most convenient and receive an automatic appointment confirmation with service instructions. It’s a great way to enhance our outpatient experience.”
Laboratory services available for self-scheduling may differ by location and includes:
- Routine blood draws
- Series orders
- Glucose tolerance tests
- Pre-surgical tests
- Specimen drop-offs
- EKGs (OMH only)
Patients should visit munsonhealthcare.org/laboratory and select the Online Scheduling button to schedule service. An email address is required to book an appointment.
Patients with lab service or online self-scheduling questions should contact Munson Healthcare Outpatient Laboratory Central Scheduling at 231-392-7891. Representatives are available Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. to help book and confirm lab appointments.
