Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Primary Care is pleased to welcome physician assistant Carolann Hoffman, PA-C to the medical staff.
Hoffman began her medical career as a patient care technician. During that time, she was able to see firsthand how crucial physician assistants are to the healthcare team. She received her associate’s degree at North Central Michigan College and her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Grand Valley State University.
Hoffman said she enjoys the medical field because of the diversity of responsibilities, endless learning, and communication with a wide range of people. She chose family medicine because it allows her to help educate and encourage patients to live healthy lives.
“I am devoted to reaching patient goals through a partnership with patients and fellow colleagues,” Hoffman said. “I work toward empowering individuals, encouraging them to be part of their own care, and advocating for their health and wellbeing.”
In her free time, Hoffman loves to spend time with her husband and their two chocolate Labrador retrievers, Remi and Ruger. The dogs usually accompany them on adventures like exploring new hiking trails, looking for Petoskey stones on the beach, and summer pontoon rides. She also enjoys reading and polishing Petoskey stones.
