What brought you to Munson Healthcare? 
I was always interested in healthcare and wanted to work close to home. Kalkaska Memorial Health Center was a perfect fit for me.

What do you love about your work? 
I love working with the providers and the details involved in the job, as well as the various tasks.

What is one thing you want people to know about Medical Staff Services? 
We are very passionate about the role and the details gathered, so we can assure our patients are being cared for by high-quality providers.

What advice do you have for ambulatory offices/providers? 
If in doubt about whether the Medical Staff Office needs to be aware, they probably do. Please contact your local Medical Staff Office and ask questions, inform them of changes, etc.

What are you most passionate about outside of work? 
My two beautiful granddaughters, family, gardening, construction projects, and my volunteer work at a local historic theatre.

What might we be surprised to learn about you?

• My dad taught me how to knit and crochet, as my 4-H Leader did not know how to teach a lefty.
• I also learned construction from my father who had rheumatoid arthritis. As he was physically unable to do the work, he taught his children. He was the mind giving detailed instructions and we were the hands.
• My youngest son and I built the house I live in.
