Stroke Club Discusses Benefits of Post-stroke Palliative Care

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will host an open discussion on post-stroke palliative care at its upcoming October 14 virtual meeting. 

Julie Hartl-Kilcherman, owner/nurse practitioner at NPalliative® in Traverse City, will lend her expertise on diagnosing, treating, and coordinating patient care at home and at assisted living facilities. Topics will range from managing symptoms and improving quality of life to avoiding unnecessary emergency department visits.  

The virtual group meets via telephone from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. Participants will receive the conference dial-in phone number and access code by registering at this URL: munsonhealthcare.org/strokeclub.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets the second Wednesday of each month. The group offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect through speakers, demonstrations, and discussions.
